On a personal level, SHIFT has brought us immense satisfaction as we have watched some of our clients develop the self worth that they have so long lacked. Providing our clients with a sense of direction and confidence has been truly rewarding.
 
On the clients' level, SHIFT has provided PPOs with the skills and will-power required for living with a sense of responsibility and reality; we have offered vulnerable children the opportunity to develop in an environment where they feel safe; and we have created a unique opportunity where young people can gain qualifications whilst learning practical skills that they can take with them into their future.
 
On a community level, SHIFT "can be measured in the reduction in acquisitive crime across the county. Since the inception of the PPO scheme involving care farming, there has been a 15% reduction in all crime, a 55% reduction in house burglaries and a 33% reduction in vehicle crime" (Tackling Drugs Changing Lives Media Release 23/05/2008)
